Phuket Trip

Well well, I did mention earlier that I would rant bout the 3 days 2 nights phuket trip right? well here I am. This is gonna be a long posting cuz I am gonna rant all da details. I'm jus gonna post some pics up, the rest i'll upload it in my album. If u have the time go check them out. By the way guyz, Phuket rawks!!!! ... forget bout da tsunami incident. Phuket is just amazing now!!! Da beach is fantastic.. streets at night are jus brilliant. Basically, the place we visited, Patong beach is jus sooo vibrant. The hotel we stayed in, Coconut Village is just a few min walk away from the beach, and aso a few min away from those night shopping streets. Love the hotel , though is not like those grand hotels like Holiday Inns , but Coconut Village is da perfect place for a budgeted trip. Really nice place. The staff there are ever soo helpful.. good service indeed. So, anyone opting for a vacation to Patong beach and need a nice reasonable , not so costly place to crash at, Coconut Village is da perfect spot. Kudos, to audrey's excellent organizing.. the whole trip was just perfect!!! perfect!!! perfect!!!. The five of us (nini, shawn, ronald, audrey and me) really did have a BLAST...

1st day

We met at kl central.. then took the air asia bus to the airport. Check in, had lunch, went and shop around those duty free shops ( something embarassing happen to me there, not gonna mention here, go check ron's blog) and board sometime in da evening around 4. Have to say, air asia planes are soo much shakier than MAS. Bad bad bad experience... pity audrey, I was clinging to her the whole journey. Then, once we reach, checked in to the hotel and settled down , we walked to da beach to check out the price for jet skiing, and surfing. Wow, competition was steep there.. so to differentiate themselves, those ppl doin business there have weird names like Ding dong hahahha easier to remember. Then we went for dinner in a seafood restaurant. The tomyam was not that good but the curry was nice, the price was even better . :-D. I forgot the figure, but i rmb it's cheap lar . One thing bout thai tom yam, hrmphh the tom yam soup looks like the ordinary mee soup we have in m'sia. It's not red in colour and it taste a bit sweet but it's spicy of course. Still, I prefer the tomyam in m'sia. :-D

Our 1st meal in Patong beach, Phuket.

After dinner, we went to watch the Simon Cabaret. some ladyboy or rather ah gua show. After all, its what thailand is famous for ah guas, gosh those ladyboys really look hotter than most normal woman and that freaks me out. How can a guy undergo soo much transformation and turn out to be such a full blown hottie? Amazing. I haveta say the props and costumes for the show were incredible. Stage decoration was just magnificent scene after scene. Impressed 100%. Well, the highlight of the trip haveta be shawn's unforgettable incident there. He was attacked with boobies by the hottest lady boy in da house wahahahaha. His face was shoved into them . All of us were shocked, after the show we were like did that just happened to shawn?, how lucky. I mean c'mon of all the of ppl there, he got picked, summo we all sat in da middle. Who would have thought the ladyboy would take the trouble to squeeze through and attack him. I think shawn was traumatized by that incident hahhaha. Ok ahem drop it. Actually that one hour of show was quite an experience, though I must say for me I felt that one hour was a bit too long.. felt a bit sick in da middle. After the show, all of the ladyboys went out to take pics with ppl. You haveta tip'em for every pic taken wit them, and some of them were darn rude. That time it really hit me that, gosh they hafta do this every night for a living. What can I say? Tough life.

Before the show starts...

During the show....

The settings and costumes were magnificent.

Lady boys.. the stars of the show. The furthest on the left , Tina Turner.

This one look like cher.. wahhaha. Those 2 real guys beside, have really hot bods. Hard to picture, the ladyboy in da middle , was once like them. FREAKY

curtains down...

Da 5 of us wit the "hottest" ladyboy in da house.

After the show, we went straight back to the hotel. I was tired that day.. but I did'nt really slept well that night, maybe is becuz of the bed . Woke up darn early in da morning.. we planned to wake up at 8... but audrey, nini and me woke up at 7 and we taught it was 8 cuz we haven adjusted our time to da time difference. It's 1 hour slower in thailand. So what did we do so early in da morning? Of course, draw back the curtains and sleep again but ended up pillow talking.

2nd day

After breakfast.. we took a "tuk-tuk" ( it's some minitruck wit seats installed at the back ) to Kata Beach, cuz apparently we heard, Kata beach is mo nicer. We reached there around 9a.m if i am not mistaken, the beach was quite deserted and the waves were darn small. We were a bit dissapointed, the ppl operating their business there suggested that... we cannot surf with waves like that. So, we strolled along that beautiful beach for quite a while and luckily the waves started gettin better. Immediately, we went to get ourselves surfboards and 2 instructors to coach us. The instructors picked a suitable board for each of us. The weight and size of the boards varies , depends on da weight of a person. Then they made sure , we know those 5 steps well enuf before practising in da water, I still remember those steps now haha. When everybody was ready.. we headed down to da water in pairs takin turns, as there was ony 2 instructor wit us.

I have no idea, learning surfing was that tough.. those surfers made it look so easy and effortless to stand on the board. My gosh.. is kinda frustrating cuz we need to push the board against the waves all the way till we get to a distance from the beach, and then wait for the right time to get on the board and surf back. Surfin back ony takes like 30 sec or less.. while gettin da surfboard out was really a problem becuz of the waves, plus it's darn heavy. I had a tough time gettin up on da board. After tryin like 7 to 8 times, I ony managed to stand once for like 3 secs and crashed into da water. WOO~~ but those 3 secs was just amazing. I know now y ppl get addicted to surfing.. wooohhhh the feeling of standing tall on da board with the waves takin u towards the shore is just wow. I can't describe, u haveta try it urself . U haveta try surfing at least once in ur life. It's exhausting at the beginning but I'm sure once u master the standing.. u will njoy it. Hard work that's all it takes hahhaa. Though the whole surfing class was over... we rented 2 boards to practice ourselves, see never give up, but then I ony went out once after that.. and I experienced the worse fall ever, crashed darn hard into the water. After that fall.. I really had no mo strength to go on, got a few bruises here and there. God, knows how much sea water went in through my mouth and nose *oouchh*. When we were all done wit surfing.. we went on to freshen up and then had our luch in a nearby restaurant . I miss that coconut shake, soooo much now arghhh. After lunch, we went back to the hotel.. to zzzz. We were all burnt out. OOoops , I realize we din take any pics by the beach... but then again is risky to bring those cams there.

Everyone got ready around 6 and we went out for dinner in a small restaurant in da streets of Patong , ordered tomyam, and drawed a conclusion that malaysia's tomyam is way better. Tried 3 times at 3 different places and yet same colour and the taste mo or less the same. After makan, we went SHOPPING around the streets, they ony close down around midnight and that's when we stopped shopping. Our legs were darn tired , mine was literally one the verge of breaking.. Half way back to the hotel, we stopped by a juice parlour to REVIVE ourselves. Then continued walking back , and that's the end of day 2. Slept like a pig that night.. cuz I really K.O aredi.

Streets of patong at night. Really happening.

We were actually walking along a street full of pubs. There were soo many pubs along that street, and they also have boxing rings in some places. Live boxing show. Muay thai anyone?

3rd Day
Da last day of trip.. wohh time flies. To be honest 3 days is just not enuf, for the shopping. Speaking of shoppin there, you must really bargain bargain bargain... talk your way out for discounts ppl. I haveta admit, I am not good at that at all, sad. One thing, you must remember if you ever go there.. make sure you be polite when you're bargaining and do the thai hand gretting thingy, even when you're not buying any stuff after da whole bargaining process. They like that.. its a way of saying thanx. Manners.. alwiz be polite. Ok.. back to da trip. Well, after our breakfast, we went off to look around for massage parlours and we came across one, called Winnie. Can u imagine that? there was a signboard 'Winnie" hanging above the street . I din even notice that, till audrey pointed that out and we decided to get a traditional thai massage there. I taught some thai massage would be somewhat relaxing as my body was soo worn out after surfing and 2 days of shopping. That's the reason we scheduled to get some massage at the end of our trip. My gawd.. it was not relaxing at all, darn painful , maybe it's becuz of the bruises and my muscles were aching after the whole surfing experience. But, I think the guyz had a great experience there though. Masseuse (LADIES) ;-D . ohhhhh!!! . I guess KAM got aroused and shouted "not there, not there" and one of the masseuse was TRYIN to arouse apeman but maybe she herself got aroused ." MAn!! man!! man", thats what she whispered out. wakakka.

After massage.....

After massage, we went to shop again.. then rushed back to da hotel to pack up and leave . We got to the airport on time though.. not to mention our flight was delayed. Air asia , never on time!!!! . Touchdown around 6.30 pm, said our goodbyes and head home respectively. ahh What a TRip!!! I'm missing phuket already. The beach, the surfing, the coconut shake, miss everything. I still feel phuket has a lot more to offer.. just that 3 days is just too short. No worries, there's alwiz another chance. Till then.. I'll buzz off now, been ranting like an old woman here. Ok adios ppl ;D.
